The Cascade range runs for over 700 miles (1,120 km) from Northern California to Southern British Columbia. It is best known for its massive snow-capped volcanoes and two of the ranges highest peaks sit in the south they are Mount Shasta, the second highest mountain in the Cascade range at 14,162 feet (4,317 meters) and nearby Lassen Peak at 10,457 feet (3,187 meters).
